Bibimbox – Columbia Food Photography

When I learned about a new Korean restaurant making it’s home in Columbia, South Carolina, you can bet your momma I was grinning ear to ear. FINALLY some Bibimbap to get in my belly! When the team at Bibimbox reached out for me to take their product photography, you can imagine I was even more thrilled. Not only were they ready to offer classic Korean dishes in a fast food setting, they were also serving up yummy desserts. Are you ready to see all the photos we created for their grand opening?

The Product Photography

A cool thing about Bibimbox is their self ordering kiosk. All you do is tap on the screen to go through the prompts. The team needed product photos for that kiosk as well as for online ordering. We captured everything from full dishes and appetizers to sauces and toppings, even desserts and drinks! This may have taken days to capture it all as they finalized the menu but it was such a good time. It helps that I love what I do.

The Styled Photos

For these styled photos, we wanted to make sure they still had that crispy product feel. Thanks to Club Backdrops, I had an array of different colors to choose from that were easy to wipe clean after use. Bibimbox’s branding colors were navy blue, red, and golden yellow. Thankfully it was easy to play off those colors for their marketing images.

It was really important to the team that we have several menu products as well as to go boxes and stickers that included their branding on them.

Inside Bibimbox in Columbia, South Carolina is also their dessert bar called Kumo Kumo! Think Matcha when you think Kumo Kumo. The taiyaki along with the matcha and ube soft serve were out of this world ( perks of being a food photographer in South Carolina, I get to try most food I photograph )

The Final Menu and Website

As a photographer, seeing your photos being applied on websites, menus, and billboards is a dream. The text that wraps around your photos and the graphics that make your images pop really make everything feel like a dream. The Bibimbox marketing team really knew how to use these photos.
